We took our family vacation to Chicago last week. The temperature was in the low to mid 80's and it was wonderful. Charlotte loved going to the children's museum and to the zoo. I think she enjoyed the extra attention from my sister and her family even more. Today she keeps asking "where Kathryn", "where bec bec". We had an amazing time and are dreading going back to work on Monday.
Skyline from Navy Pier.
View from the Field museum. It rained each morning we were there but was clear by lunch time.
Just a few of the many boats docked on the lake.
Beautiful hydrangeas. Everywhere you went there were beautiful flowers like impatiens, hydrangeas, and hostas. Plants that are way past dead here were in full bloom.
So excited to see life size Abby and Grover dolls.
Anna Kathryn on the long car ride.
Charlotte reading her ladybug book.
Happy cousins.
Bath time was lots of fun.
Looking at the worms.
Acting like daddy, trying to make shadow puppets.
Looking for daddy in the tree house.
The museum handed out raincoats to use in the "wet" centers. We were still drenched.
Helping build a box with daddy.
She fussed until I took a picture of her and the snake.
The zoo had a farm animal section. A little strange to us, but the local kids LOVED the cows, chickens, goats, and rabbits.

Summer Fun
It has been so hot the past few weeks we either have to stay inside or go swimming.

Sprayed everything from the dogs to daddy's cell phone.
