We have had lots of fun this fall. Charlotte really enjoyed the pumpkin patch, decorating for Halloween, and going to Mickey Mouse parties.
Trying to pick up the big pumpkins. She said "daddy dood it, it heaby".
Her first horse ride. We gave her the choice of jumping in the bounce house or riding a horse. She chose the horse. When her time was over, she told the next little girl " that my horse, you back away". We also have trouble with someone in the house being a bit bossy.
Anna Kathryn's 1st birthday Mickey Mouse party. We love to do the hot dog dance every morning.
Drinking out of the big girl cup...about 15 seconds before it went in the floor.

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween. We love Halloween, rather I love Halloween. We had a party at our house on Friday, Trunk or Treat on Saturday and Trick or Treat on Sunday. It was a wonderful weekend.
Ballerina and Mr Potato Head.
Do I really have to stand here and smile.
Charlotte and her first love. He did not want to have his picture taken in the bumble bee costume, so she moved on to the Doctor.
Having issues with static cling.

Family Vacation
We took our family vacation to Chicago last week. The temperature was in the low to mid 80's and it was wonderful. Charlotte loved going to the children's museum and to the zoo. I think she enjoyed the extra attention from my sister and her family even more. Today she keeps asking "where Kathryn", "where bec bec". We had an amazing time and are dreading going back to work on Monday.
Skyline from Navy Pier.
View from the Field museum. It rained each morning we were there but was clear by lunch time.
Just a few of the many boats docked on the lake.
Beautiful hydrangeas. Everywhere you went there were beautiful flowers like impatiens, hydrangeas, and hostas. Plants that are way past dead here were in full bloom.
So excited to see life size Abby and Grover dolls.
Anna Kathryn on the long car ride.
Charlotte reading her ladybug book.
Happy cousins.
Bath time was lots of fun.
Looking at the worms.
Acting like daddy, trying to make shadow puppets.
Looking for daddy in the tree house.
The museum handed out raincoats to use in the "wet" centers. We were still drenched.
Helping build a box with daddy.
She fussed until I took a picture of her and the snake.
The zoo had a farm animal section. A little strange to us, but the local kids LOVED the cows, chickens, goats, and rabbits.

Summer Fun
It has been so hot the past few weeks we either have to stay inside or go swimming.
Charlotte playing with the pool vacuum.
Sprayed everything from the dogs to daddy's cell phone.
Playing dress up.

Happy Birthday
We celebrated Charlotte's 2nd birthday last week. She loved her water party and all of her new toys. Especially the clothes, dress up or real outfits. Here are her stats. She weighs 24 pounds and is 34 inches tall. Which makes for a very tall skinny girl. Her vocabulary has exploded the past several weeks. She loves to tell people what to do...such as "be nice" , "hold me", "help clean" (this one excites me to no end), "get away". Last night at church she told a "bug" to get away and when it did not cooperate she smashed it with her shoe. The bug was a scuff mark on the floor so it had a little trouble moving. She is a kind and loving girl that usually only wants to please her mom and dad. She does have her difficult moments but we would not trade her for anything. We love her very much.
Opening presents. I have almost broken my leg several times on these beads but she loves them.
Charlotte and cousin Anna Kathryn. 14 month and 3 pound difference.
Birthday water slide.
Charlotte would only go down on her stomach. She kept saying more as she climbed back up.
In the pool "wimmin" with friends.

2 Months of fun.
It has been a very long time since my last post. So we have everything from Easter to the zoo. Charlotte is growing up so fast. She has 3-4 word sentences, my favorite is... I lub my daddy. She still climbs all the time and loves watching herself in the mirror.
Picking up Easter eggs.
Found another one. Each time she would look up and grin then say more?

First haircut. A lady at church always said sit them in the sink and give them a Popsicle. You can then cut their hair. I always thought she was full of it, but it worked like a charm.
Anna Kathryn, playing with Charlotte's snacks. It did not bother us that they were on the floor. Just easier to pick up.
Told her it was time for a bath, to go to your room and get a washcloth. This is what I found. She took her shoes, socks and pants off. Why not the onsie and diaper. Then she pointed to her diaper, said wet, shoo, nasty.
Playing peek -a -boo.
Put her to bed in her onsie. She got up, took the panties out of the drawer and put them on. Found her like this the next morning. I guess I have told her to much that she has to wear pants.
Modeling for my mom's etsy page. Visit TreeHouseCouture to order yours.
Sweet girl.
Who needs to bring toys on vacation. Simply play with the broom and plunger.
Practicing ways of saying no. She was watching each different facial expression when she was saying no. Sometimes she would throw in a head nod or finger shake.
Charlotte and best friend/ future husband Landry at the zoo.
Monkey see, Monkey do.
