Congratulations

Congratulations to my sister Rebecca and her husband Toby...they are expecting their first child in early October. I am so excited for them and pray that everything goes well. As for boy or girl,
* Charlotte needs a girl cousin, she has 2 boy cousins already
* I feel that it is a boy
* Rebecca "knows" that it is a boy and will not consider pink items
* Toby "knows" that it is a girl because no boy would schedule his entrance into this world the first week of deer season. We will have to wait and see. Lots of fun times ahead.

Play time

Charlotte will play with anything. Her favorites are phones, TV remotes, canned goods, and anything that might be dangerous for a small child. Here she is trying to climb the diapers that I was unloading from the car.

Playing with Easter eggs. The other dozen are already on the floor.

Charlotte has figured out how to pull up and stand on just about anything. The problem is that she has not figured out how to let go and fall or just sit down. It is quite funny to watch. Who knew children could provide so much entertainment.
Trying to climb higher.

Up in her crib.
Big smiles.
Banished to the baby restraining device.

Sunday morning. She was so stopped up I had to suction her nose before she could drink her bottle. She was displeased with that course of action.

This was her attempt to smile.

8 Months

So each month I take several pictures of Charlotte on her birthday. Each month Charlotte sits or leans like a good girl so momma can take some cute shots. This has changed. I was able to get 1 picture of her sitting up and smiling. The rest of the shots can be seen below.

Such a pretty 8 month old girl.

What is that over there...I think I might need it.

Trying to climb off of the chair.

Now in the floor, reaching for the camera.

Leaving her daddy and me behind, while she goes to explore.

Charlotte has learned to pull up and stand for short periods on her own. She loves to climb over things and explore the entire house. We are working on sign language and giving kisses and she will comply every once in a while.
Such a big girl.
Yes, I said short periods.

Exploring the dishwasher.

This is a lot of fun.

Such a mischievous grin.

Wye Mountain

We took Charlotte to Wye Mountain where they have thousands of daffodils. We thought we could take some cute pictures and have fun with friends. The pictures did not last long as Char did not like grass, leaves or anything else that was sticky. We did however have a good time with friends. Dawn and Rita we missed you.

Happy to sit with the flowers.

Looking for her friend Landry. He was crying off to the left because he did not like the grass or leaves either.

That flower just poked me.

Perhaps this is ok.
I want out now !!!!
Well behaved friends.

Best friend Landry.

Attempted family photo.

My friends.

Summer Time

I found Charlotte a swim suit for this summer and could not resist trying it on her. The hat may be a little of a challenge to keep on. She will be cute any way you slice it.
