Trying to crawl.

Charlotte is trying to crawl. Right now she gets up on her elbows and knees, rocks back and forth, then lunges forward. Throw in a couple of rolls and she is across the room before you know it.

On her way.
Closer.
Now I have got her.
Straight to my mouth.

First Christmas

Charlotte had a very exciting 1st Christmas. My family came to our house on Christmas eve and we went to see Frankie's family on Christmas morning. She did not care to open presents but did like the tissue and wrapping paper. Her favorite toys are the Exersaucer and Raggedy Ann that my mom made for her. I can't wait until next year when she knows what is going on. It will be great.

Playing in the Exersaucer.
Uncle Toby and Charlotte.

Which is more fun my top or Grandma and the wrapping paper?

5 Months

Charlotte is 5 months old. I cannot believe how big she is getting. She is very happy baby and enjoys playing with everyone. Some of her favorite activities include rolling around the living room or where ever else she might be. She especially likes to try to roll when putting her in a car seat, changing her clothes, and changing her diaper. She also wants to touch everything in sight and try to put it in her mouth. She likes to put her fingers in your mouth and really likes Frankie's beard. Her bottom 2 teeth are showing and she likes to play with them with her tongue. She is becoming a great multi-tasker like her daddy.

Smile, happy baby. Just relaxing.

I want to touch the camera, it is shiny and has lights.

Trying to roll over in the chair.

Trying to fight going to sleep.

Saturday Adventure.

Saturday is always a fun time at the Parks household. I usually have to work every other weekend so Frankie and Charlotte have bonding time. Today we were able to spend the whole day together. Charlotte met Santa Clause and tried to pull his beard off. When he told her no, she looked at him as if to say you have got to be kidding me.

Who is this funny looking guy?

After we spent the day at granny's house it was time to come home and play. Frankie tries to teach Charlotte all kinds of things. One finally paid off. This is her favorite sound to make, especially when she has a mouth full of sweet potatoes or green beans.

And then there was the opossum.... We heard the dogs going crazy on the back deck and at first thought they were just barking at each other. They just kept on and on so Frankie went out to see what the problem was. The story starts a couple of summers ago. We replaced the 3 panel sliding glass doors that lead in to the back yard. Less than 48 hours after they were installed the lawn mower threw a rock and we had the cracked glass effect. Frankie then built a screen to stand up to prevent this from happening again. Skip to today....The screen is leaned up against the house on the deck. Between the house and the screen is our lovely opossum friend. The ADHD dogs that we have trapped a critter. Frankie made a opossum catching device and PULLED the growling critter out of the back yard. Like I said it is always an adventure at the Parks house.

Hissing at me.

Christmas Tutu

I made Charlotte a Tutu for pictures for our Christmas card. Here is a sneak preview. And yes, those are Star Trek ships on the tree. It was easier to move Frankie's Star Trek tree than to move the couch or chair.

Happy to wear a Tutu.

Too Cute.All done.
