Wonderful

This morning Charlotte woke up at her normal time of 7:15 . I could hear her talking and playing with her toys that are in her crib so I rolled over and I guess fell back asleep. About 7:45 Frankie brought her in the bedroom and laid her down beside me. He said that she had been saying DA, DA, DA then waiting for a minute and saying Ma, Ma, Ma. It was time for him to leave so he kissed us both and went to work. As soon as he left she said DA DA a couple of times. I told her that daddy went to work and she was stuck with mommy now. She rolls over, grabs my nose, says Ma, Ma, Ma and laughs. Now, she has been saying DA DA since Christmas but today was the first of the ma, mas. I do believe that is the most wonderful way in the world to wake up.

6 Months Old

Today Charlotte is 6 months old. I cannot believe that she has been with us for that long. Each day I find it hard to believe that I can love her any more, but each day that love grows. She says DA DA DA on a regular basis. Sometimes it is when she sees Frankie, sometimes when I am making her be still so I can change her clothes, and various other random times. I am not so sure that she has made the connection but we like to think she has. She was almost 17 pounds and 26 inches long at the Dr this morning which is between the 50th and 75th percentile. She is a good eater but does not like green beans, carrots or applesauce and gags on oatmeal. Her favorites are squash, sweet potatoes, peaches and bananas. She is so curious about everything and wants to touch it. She loves to play with the TV remote. She will push the buttons until the lights come on then looks at the TV to see what she has done. That probably means we have watched way to much TV in front of her. She is so very much fun and I cannot wait to see what the next years bring. For now enjoy the pictures.

The one leg out of the sleeper provides better traction for moving across the floor.

Playing in her exersaucer. It is so funny to watch her squeal with delight. The chicken on top of the barn plays music when you hit it. She will make it play then just giggle like she has solved the greatest physics problem in the world.
